IT Sales Director

The Role:

  • Lead the sales team and support all members to hit their targets, as well as your own personal target
  • Reinforce the sales strategy and ensure all members of the team have all the training and tools they need to hit their targets
  • Take the lead in quarterly sales kick off meetings, sales training, cross selling strategies and helping technical people be aware of how to make sales
  • Ensure that all sales people who hit their targets are recognised with motivating incentives, bonuses, rewards and recognition
  • Attend sales meetings with potential high value accounts to help sales people get sales across the line
  • Support your team to make sales of IT services within the Microsoft Service stack into appropriately sized companies
  • The majority of your time will be spent supporting the sales team to hit their targets
  • Ensure that sales leads fit the qualification criteria
  • Generate sales from highly targeted contacts using account plans/top 100 accounts, and multi touch business development campaigns
  • Cross sells and upsells into our existing client base using technical sales knowledge, a White Space strategy and spin selling
  • Your team will report on a weekly and monthly basis with set KPIs and structured sales targets
  • Work closely with the marketing team to support campaigns and give sales feedback
  • Drive complex sales reports from our CRM to show all sales activities, and exactly who are our hottest opportunities

Key skills:

  • Proven success in software and services sales, Microsoft solutions experience is highly desired
  • You will have experience of recruiting and developing a winning sales team
  • Sound knowledge of cloud architecture and digital infrastructure strategy to make strategic sales
  • Extensive experience and practical, technical knowledge of the Microsoft service stack is essential
  • Proven ability to drive targeted, qualified face to face business appointments with motivated buyers
  • Experience of high value sales cycles and strategic selling in a highly competitive market, demonstrating a strong understanding of how to lock competitors out of deals
  • An understanding of reseller margins and the commercial drivers of our tech service offering to enable contract negotiations
