Working in a production environment may not be the most glamourous job, but Smart Recruitment are pleased to announce brand new assembly jobs working on products that you can be genuinely proud of making. The products go into all sorts of critical applications all over the world for industries such as subsea, oil exploration, data logging, aerospace and many more. It is working for a market leading manufacturing company who need permanent members of staff that they can invest time and training in. If you do well during your initial temping period of 3 months then you will be offered a permanent job, so we require people who are serious about doing a good job and who require long term employment - this is not just "a bit of temping". Once permanently employed there is workwear provided, a company bonus scheme after 1 year, and 23 days holiday plus bank holidays.
We need to recruit people who have an interest in making things, and people who can show attention to detail. You will be trained in the use of various bench tools and machine processes, but any experience of using soldering irons, resistance spot welders, glue guns or heat guns will be looked upon favourably. Day to day tasks would involve working at an assembly bench with other team members according to a daily production schedule in a light, airy and modern manufacturing area. The radio is on, everyone works together and the atmosphere is great. There is also free parking and an on-site canteen area.
The hours of work are on day shift, 39 per week Monday to Thursday 07.15 to 16.15 and Friday 07:15 to 12:15, with optional Friday afternoon hours paid at time and a third and Saturday morning hours paid at time and a half.
Your initial period of employment will involve representing Smart Recruitment, so we need to ensure you have the following qualities in order to make sure our client is delighted:

-Able to speak, read and write English to an acceptable level
