English Specialist

Teachers applying for the role must be able to teach English up to KS4, deliver creative and engaging lessons that challenge students to reach their full academic potential.To apply for this role teachers must have the ability to teach GCSE English to a high standard and it would be an advantage for individuals applying, to have some experience teaching A-level. A genuine passion for English Language and Literature is essential to be a great educator and inspire students. Candidates applying for this role should have a proven track record of successful intervention and should be able to easily manage high level of classroom control, keeping students on task and working hard.

The ideal candidate will:

Hold a English related degree or a have a previous work history in an English related field

Be excellent classroom practitioners and NQT's applying for this role will have shown they have this potential

Be prepared to participate in extracurricular activities

Be able to work flexibly and always maintain a positive attitude

A genuine passion for English teaching

Be willing to sometimes cover other Humanities subjects
