Whether someone is newly diagnosed or has lived their whole life with reduced sight, Vista's specialist staff provide a vital lifeline to local people.
We have an Assistant Manager's post available at our Kathleen Rutland Care Home situated in Leicester Forest East, Leicester, which provides high quality residential care to older people with sensory impairment and people with dementia.
This is a 30 hours per week permanent post and you will be required to work flexibly throughout the week between 7am - 10.00pm with the requirement to work on weekends and Bank holidays on a rota.
When rostered to work weekends and bank holidays you will be paid, at an enhanced hourly rate.
The primary objective of this role is to support the Home Manager and Deputies to lead a team of staff, with the aim of providing the highest possible standard of support to enable individuals to develop as much independence as possible, whilst ensuring a quality of life in accordance with ordinary aspirations.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that each person who lives in the Home has a Person Centred Support Plan which they and/or their representative has been involved in drawing up and keeping-up-to-date.
There will also be instances where you will need to act as Line Manager to some staff, as delegated by the Home Manager. Providing supervision to these staff, at least two monthly, with an annual appraisal.
You will take responsibility, in the absence of the Home Manager and Deputies, or when delegated, for the day-to-day management of the Home.
