We are currently recruiting for a Higher Education Study Support Assistant to join our team, here at South Devon College. You will be required to provide support to staff and learners in order that all Higher Education students have access to the curriculum, achieve on their programme and fully participate in the life of the College. This post will support the personal and practical care, and academic needs of Higher Education (HE) learners. The support needs of each learner will be detailed on an Individual Learning Support Plan and the role of the Support Assistant is central in supporting the learner to fulfil their needs and outcomes. This post reflects the changes made by the Government in the provision of Practical Support to Higher Education students.

The successful candidate will need to hold GCSE English & Maths qualifications (or equivalent Level 2) or be prepared to undertake qualification(s) within the first year of employment. We are looking for someone who has proven work experience in a learning support and/or coaching role and is willing to undertake further training in personal care.
