Business Systems Implementation Consultant required for a permanent position within the Decision Analytics Delivery team, this role is based in Nottingham.
This is a an exciting opportunity to be a part of Experian's Solutions Dedicated Delivery Team. Solutions is the UK&I division of Experian which specialises in providing credit risk and fraud management consulting services and products. Over more than 30 years, it has developed best practice analytical, consulting and product capabilities to support organisations to manage and optimise risk; prevent, detect and reduce fraud; meet regulatory obligations; and gain operational efficiencies throughout the customer relationship . The Solutions Division of Experian delivers experience and expertise developed from working with national and international organisations across a wide range of industries and businesses of all sizes.
The role of the Business Systems Implementation Consultant is to lead the implementation of Client focused software solutions, delivering business and financial benefit. This includes:
Responsibilities
Defining best practice with regard to product implementations.Contributing to the architectural-review of proposed solutions.Developing project-plans for the implementation of solutions.Working with stakeholders to ensure prerequisites to implementation are met.Implementing the solution in accordance with the signed-off specification.Managing project issues and risks using formal logs.Release-management - both for phased-in functionality, and for bug fixes.Consulting with clients/delivery-teams regarding technical considerations.Ensuring that solution documentation is completed.Providing support of the solution throughout the delivery and warranty period.Assuring the Operational-Readiness of the solution.Defining non-functional testing to ensure the stability of the solution.Downward tasking of junior and offshore resources.Contributing to continuous-improvement initiatives.Sharing previously acquired knowledge and key-learnings within the Technical Delivery community.Ensuring that Experian's Value-Proposition to the client is fulfilled.Driving service improvement and other internal initiatives for the advancement of the team.Requirements
Essential Technical Skills
Windows Server - configuration, monitoring, troubleshootingMicrosoft SQL Server 2005/2008/2012Oracle 10g/11g/12gIIS (ASP and ASP.Net would be advantageous).XML technologies (Webservices, Transformations etc.)Scripting (any of JavaScript, VBScript, Groovy, Perl or DOS Batch).Java (Minimum knowledge of JVM principles, but JSP, JDBC and EJB would be advantageous).Transport protocols (HTTP(S), FTP, SFTP)Version/Source Control principles (CVS, SVN or similar)Essential experience
Degree in a computing discipline (or relevant comparable experience).Demonstrable knowledge of client/server software applications.Ability to acquire rapidly and maintain good product knowledge.A logical and thorough approach to trouble-shooting.Able to assess alternatives and drive rational choices from these.Persistence and attention to detail in problem solving.Ability to prioritise tasks logically.Able to recognise and resolve divisive issues rationally.Highly desirable
Experience to a client-facing project/product delivery environment.Experience working with offshore teams.Exposure to SOA/ESB products and concepts.
