This role would be a very exciting opportunity for a graduate with around 18 months of commercial engineering experience. The role comes with unrivalled career prospects. As the Mechanical Design Engineer your duties will include:
• Supporting existing product range by re-designing or altering machinery to suit individual client requirements
• Conducting site surveys with a range of existing clients
• Re writing assembly or instruction manuals to support products
• Preparing bills of materials and liaising with the internal purchasing teams to ensure the correct components are readily available
• 'Hands on' assembly of machinery
• Using 3 D modelling to create or amend special purpose client equipment
• Creation and control of 2D manufacturing drawings and assembly information.
To be a successful Mechanical Design Engineer you will have the following skills and experience:
• A relevant engineering degree
• Commercial mechanical engineering experience
• Experience in operating a 3D software package
• Practically minded and able to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
• The ability to be a team player and work conscientiously.
In return, the Mechanical Design Engineer will receive a salary of GBP25,000 per annum plus 2 x annual bonuses with an OTE of around GBP27,500 per annum.
