SITE FOREMAN/TRAINEE SITE FOREMAN REQUIRED FOR A WASTE DISPOSAL COMPANY BASED IN STOKE ON TRENT

06:45 TO 16:45 MONDAY TO FRIDAY
GBP9.25 TO GBP11.00 PER HOUR (DEPENDANT ON QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE) PLUS POTENTIAL OVERTIME
Our client is currently looking to recruit a hands on Site Foreman/Trainee Site Foreman for their busy site in North Staffordshire. This role will involve the following duties:
- Working with the Site Manager to provide supervision to the site operatives
- Planning daily activities for the site operatives to meet the needs of the business
- Ensuring site operatives operate machinery safely and productively to move, compact, handle and treat waste materials
- Complete machinery pre-operational checks report any defects
- Ensuring that the clean down of waste processing machinery is completed
- Assisting with maintenance and testing activities at the site
- Ensuring that company procedures are followed and recommend suitable improvements to improve compliance and productivity
Applicants should have the following experience:
- Qualified and experienced in the operation of heavy plant vehicles including compactor vehicles, Loading Shovels, 360 excavators and Tractors
- Experience of working in the waste and recycling industry or other comparative industry which may include quarry work
- A minimum of two years experience of supervising staff
- Health and Safety Training, such as IOSH and First Aid Training (not essential - training may be offered to the right candidate)
- Certificate of Technical Competence Level 3 or 4 in Managing Landfill (not essential - training may be offered to the right candidate)
Our client is also open to the training and development of a high quality applicant that does not have the Certificate of Technical Competence.
Due to the location of the role, it is advisable for applicants to possess their own transport as access via public transport is limited.
