JOB TITLE: Mechanical Services Project Engineer
SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary dependent on experience, plus benefits including mileage / company car after qualifying period. Private healthcare, pension, 28 days holiday.
WORKING HOURS: Permanent, full time. 40 hours per week, office hours 08:00-17:00
THE COMPANY: Our client is a long established company within the Commercial HVAC sector, working primarily across Dorset and Hampshire. They work with a range of different clients across the private, commercial and public sector, providing direct and contracted services for new build and refurbishment. Due to the success of the business, they are currently looking for an additional Mechanical Services Project Engineer to join their team based in Ferndown, Dorset.
THE ROLE: The Mechanical Services Project Engineer will work directly with clients to oversee and manage their projects, valued up to GBP1m. You will also be responsible for managing labour and sub-contractors on a daily basis to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Services Project Engineer role to include:-
Project management from bidding to final account
Reviewing drawings and working practices
Procurement of materials and services
Labour and subcontractor management and supervision
Attending site meetings and regular client site visits
Managing the project within budget
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience in a similar role and a strong technical understanding of the commercial HVAC industry. You should be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage at all levels, along with the confidence to work under your own initiative.
Essential criteria for the Mechanical Services Project Engineer role
Full driving licence
Strong technical understanding of the Commercial HVAC industry
Previous experience in a similar role
Able to people manage at all levels
IT Literate, AutoCAD an advantage
Health and Safety aware
