Primary Teaching Assistant
***Core Subject Graduate- English/Maths/Science
***Sheffield, South Yorkshire
*** Previous experience with Children preferable
***Full Academic Year from September 2017
***Earn GBP300 per week
***Mon-Friday
The ideal candidate for this primary teaching assistant position will have graduated from university with a 2:1 or higher in English, Maths or Science. You must be a patient and resilient character with previous experience working with children and children SEN in any setting.
Your role will involve working on a 1:1 basis or with small groups of KS1 and KS2 students who require additional support to achieve their full potential. The role will involve working with children on the Autism spectrum, with dyslexia or other learning difficulties which inhibit their abilities to grasp topics on the national curriculum. You will work closely with a range of people from the senior leadership team and external professionals to parents and provide feedback on the child's ability.
You will be joining a warm and welcoming secondary school in Sheffield. The school is situated close to the centre of Sheffield and is easily accessible via road and public transport. The school has above average numbers of disadvantaged and SEN children who require support to fulfil their attention. You will be provided with safeguarding and other training throughout your time at the school setting you up perfectly for your teacher training.
