Hours: Approximately 36.5 hours per week for the 3 ten weeks of term plus, 4 additional weeks to be worked during the University vacation periods (1200 annualised hours per annum). Subject to a 16 week probationary period. Some weekend and evening working may be required from time to time for special events. Time off in lieu will be granted
Salary: Pro rata of £19,408 to £21,757 per annum
Benefits: 20 days (pro rata) holiday and no less than 15 days (pro rata) for Christmas, New Year, Easter, May-Day, Spring and late Bank holidays (or days in lieu thereof), Pension Scheme
The Students' Union is looking for a key addition to its vibrant staff team within the Student Activities department. You will be responsible for supporting an exciting range of student societies, working in partnership with the existing Societies Coordinators.
You will provide advice and guidance for student led groups, particularly in relation to transport, trips, tours, ticketing and resources. You will develop expertise relating to a range of clubs and societies ensuring involvement is maximised and risks are limited.
You will be responsible for keeping the relevant websites up to date and use your knowledge of communications and media channels to communicate effectively with our members.
In order to succeed, you must be an effective written and verbal communicator but, above all, be passionate about customer service. You will also possess excellent planning and organisational skills. You will be highly PC literate and able to use data to make improvements to services.
