Housingrecruit.com is currently advertising for an HR Advisor on behalf of our client, a leading social housing provider based in Salford.

The Group is a forward-thinking social organisation that positively impacts communities. They're also proud to create opportunities that make things happen - for people, families, homes and communities. They're a busy team with lots to do. They can only achieve this if they've got the right resources so they look for people and partners with as much enthusiasm and passion as they have for making things happen.

With that in mind, they currently have an opportunity available for a proactive HR Advisor to join them to cover a 12-month period of maternity leave.

Working in partnership with the business to provide a pragmatic, accurate and comprehensive day-to-day Human Resources and Organisational Development service, you will deliver key business projects within the HR team and support in the delivery of the Group’s corporate objectives.

Ensuring that HR policies are implemented on a consistent basis and identifying changes that may be required, you will coach, support and challenge managers in the application of HR policies and practices, providing advice and guidance on complex HR issues in order to minimise risk and financial exposure.

To be successful in this role, candidates must be qualified to CIPD level 5 (or equivalent) and have a sound knowledge of employment law, grievance and disciplinary issues, recruitment, absence management, staff welfare, attrition and tribunal claims.

With experience of providing HR advice and support to Senior Managers, you must have knowledge of HR best practice and an up to date knowledge of UK employment legislation.  Although not essential, experience within a social housing environment, previous experience of succession planning and a background of project management in a people context would be beneficial.

Due to the field based nature of the role, a current valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential as you will be required to cover a number of sites across the North West region.   A self-starter with the ability to manage your own workload, you must be capable of building relationships effectively and working under minimal supervision.

As well as a competitive salary and a generous holiday entitlement, you will receive a range of benefits for a rewarding career including a health cash plan, pension scheme, child care vouchers and staff discount club membership. We’ll also make sure you get the training and benefits you deserve.

Closing date: 6th August 2017
