About the role

We are looking for a Senior Support Worker Intervenor, to join our motivated team and help make a difference to people live in Exeter. You will be working 37.5 hours per week on a fixed term contract until October 2018.

As an Intervenor (Senior Support Worker) you will be to enable the individual to experience and join in the world around them as much as possible. You will promote their social and personal development, encouraging their independent skills and facilitating their communication. This support may be provided in someone's home, their local community or work setting and personal care may be required.

This is a varied and rewarding role; the day-to-day work of an Intervenor is dependent on the needs of the individual, the nature of the sensory impairment and the ways they wish to communicate.

About you

You will have achieved, or be willing to work toward, a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) In addition, you will BSL level one qualified or possess native sign language skills; It would be fantastic if you had your level two. You will have had experience of working with and providing practical support to, people with learning disabilities and / or multisensory impairments.

A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is an essential requirement for this role.
