We have a great opportunity for a Health & Safety professional to join Midland Heart as Health & Safety Assurance Officer. Our strategy is simple, to provide a health and safety system for our people to operate within and take ownership.

Salary: £34,421 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week (flexible working will be considered)  
Contract Type: Permanent

This dynamic role will provide operational and administrative health & safety support to ensure that the Group is compliant with all relevant health & safety legislation, guidance and best practice.

You’ll have great people skills, with a passion and enthusiasm for delivering a quality Health & Safety services to our stakeholders. As well as being a people person, you’ll also be business focussed with the ability to provide common sense, pragmatic but procedurally appropriate advice on a range of Health & Safety issues.

Our ideal candidate will have some knowledge of our sector but that’s not essential.  More important to us is that you are passionate about coaching and empowering managers to take ownership of Health & Safety related matters, with experience of working with multiple stakeholders across a wide geography. You’ll be an accomplished Health & Safety Advisor with a strong health & safety legislation knowledge coupled with a NEBOSH qualification, who uses their judgement to ensure business outcomes are achieved effectively and efficiently, whilst managing risks.
