Job description

To develop and deliver, platform solutions, fund Factsheets and other fund data reporting to help promote LGIM’s strategies and funds business to clients, prospects and advisors. We are looking for someone who understands global institutional and retail reporting needs and has the ability to help shape and mould our reporting proposition for new and existing clients/products. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the Head of Head of Fund Reporting & Regulatory Change to help shape our strategic Fund reporting business model.

LGIM Fund Reporting Teams will cover the following client teams:

  • Core (Strategic & Core)
  • Group
  • International
  • Retail including Workplace Savings

The above teams cover all asset classes and investment strategies. Therefore technical knowledge and implementation skills are paramount for this role, specifically around regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities

The key responsibilities involve the following:

  • responsibility for the design, build and implementation of both strategic and tactical reporting solutions to support the ever changing regulatory landscape;
  • serving as the first point of contact for Solvency II, Transaction Cost and other regulatory reporting;
  • providing data to internal and external parties, the day to day production of DB/DC Platform, PMC, OEIC, SICAV, ICAV and Unit Trust range Factsheets, KIIDs and the provision of key investor information;
  • keeping abreast of regulatory requirements in Europe, Middle East, Japan and Asia to ensure that we are proactive in supporting client requirements;
  • proactively supporting change initiatives and process enhancements;
  • developing and maintaining an understanding of regulatory requirements across the various jurisdictions and the impact on fund reporting;
  • attending pre fund launch meetings to understand fund reporting requirements and using influence to make recommendations to key stakeholders, whilst building and maintaining relationships;
  • monitoring and regularly reporting on Fund Ratings and Peer group analysis, responding to internal data requests  to support business development;
  • monitoring regulatory, technical and marketplace developments, analysing potential impact and recommending actions;
  • establishing, documenting and maintaining processes which are compliant and robust;
  • providing a relationship management function so Service Providers issues are effectively managed and escalated;
  • working with all LGIM Stakeholders to assess fund reporting needs ahead of client take on/new product development e.g. Retail, Workplace Savings, Product Specialists and Product Development teams;
  • data suppliers: 
    • managing relationships with key contributors to ensure service levels are maintained and evolved;
    • attending fund manager, product briefings and conference calls where required and taking responsibility for managing client reporting changes;
    • developing the relationship with DMO teams to ensure that data is delivered to The Platform in a scalable way;
  • utilising Industry Association relationships, and other means, to research and review reporting trends and requirements and recommend and implement change with a view to keeping LGIM at the forefront of market trends.

Essential Qualifications

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • strong academic background; and
  • degree qualified (Masters or 1st class Honors in Math’s, Economics or Integrated Science).

Essential Skills & Experience

The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience:

  • demonstrable track record of dealing with internal stakeholders or external clients and building significant relationships;
  • relevant experience in building Regulatory reporting solutions;
  • detailed understanding of Solvency II and Transaction cost reporting;
  • good understanding of financial modelling;
  • advanced VBA Skills;
  • utilisation of VBA Skills to build efficiency in process;
  • good understanding of fund reporting and the associated regulation across multiple asset classes and jurisdictions;
  • high quality drafting and communication skills;
  • excellent overall investment knowledge including an understanding of different investment vehicles;
  • technical and IT skills and understanding of systems required to report to Fund Management clients;
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills;
  • excellent stakeholder management skills;
  • highly team-orientated;
  • proactive and proven to work on your own initiative; and
  • ability to work effectively under pressure.

Desirable qualifications:

It would be desirable for the successful candidate to possess the following qualification:

  • a first class honours degree; and
  • CFA qualifications.

Additional/desirable skills and experience

It would be desirable for the successful candidate to possess the following experience:

  • institutional client experience;
  • proficient in using InDesign
  • detailed knowledge of current investment, market and economic issues; and
  • be client focussed and thorough to ensure client satisfaction.
