The Operations division is both the first line of defence for protecting Morgan Stanley's financial and reputational well-being, and an essential partner contributing to the firm's growth. Facing off to all Morgan Stanley businesses and interacting with all other parts of the Firm, the Operations division supports a complex, multi-faceted portfolio of businesses in full compliance with regulatory guidelines and the directives of the Operating Committee and Board of Directors. Members of the Operations team have a unique vantage point as the division touches all parts of the business, front to back. One of the largest divisions in the firm, Operations has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Team Profile:
Operations Risk & Regulatory Control performs various independent functions to ensure adequate controls are in place, through providing an integrated risk and control framework to govern, assess, mitigate and manage financial and operational risk in Operations. The team focuses on implementing appropriate internal controls, business processes, and internal management reporting and analysis to mitigate operational risk and fulfil regulatory reporting requirements.

The EMEA Client Money Team are responsible for ensuring that the daily Client Money calculations are carried out according to FCA regulations and in a timely manner, partnering with teams across Operations, Treasury, IT and Compliance. In addition to the daily processes, the team is responsible for the production of the month end reporting for Client Money to the FCA and on-going program of control testing, process improvements and change management.

Primary Responsibilities:
The team is looking to recruit a Director to support the growing requirements, objectives and expectations of the EMEA Client Asset function. The broad reaching portfolio covers multiple products, regulatory requirements and global functions and will require confidence in multi-faceted process management, effective people management, clarity in update to senior management and the ability to work effectively and accurately across multiple functions.

Given the focus on EMEA Client Assets, and the rapidly developing environment, this role offers considerable scope and opportunity. The main focus of this role will be to concentrate on the oversight and delivery of the Control and Assurance framework with particular focus on all aspects of End to End Control Testing as well as providing support to production, risk and control, governance and change management colleagues on a project basis as required.

Qualifications
Skills required (essential):
- Degree qualified preferably in accounting, economics, finance, statistics or related disciplines
- Awareness of the CASS control framework within Morgan Stanley
- Strong analytical skills, including root cause analysis
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including experience with business process documentation and preparing management reports using PowerPoint
- Collaboration and teamwork skills and experience, including strong interpersonal skills
- A proficient understanding of the front to back flows across multiple investment banking business and operational lines.
