Leading Insurance Company with an excellent client base are seeking a temporary Legal Administrator or Law graduate to join their friendly team in Bessels Green, Sevenoaks. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain excellent experience in a legal environment and an insight into what goes on within a busy legal office.
The Role
In this role you will be providing administrative support to the Group Legal team and to be responsible for updating and maintaining the Group's contracts database. This role will also involve logging new matters onto the database and analysing and interpreting the terms of a broad range of general commercial agreements
The role will also involve updating all relevant internal records and producing periodic reports on contract negotiations and other Group legal activity. There may also be an opportunity to carry out legal research and/or work on ad-hoc projects from time to time.

Duties
- Reviewing and interpreting large volumes of executed legal documents and classifying and recording them accurately
- Maintaining the Group's contracts database
- Producing reports on contract negotiations and other legal activity
- Working on similar ad-hoc projects as required
- Facilitating the execution of legal agreements
- Providing general assistance to the Group Legal team
- Liaising with internal clients in a timely, professional and courteous manner
- Carrying out legal research and/or working on ad-hoc projects from time to time
- Scanning, archiving and filing (electronic and hard copy) of all contracts and legal documents
The Successful Applicant
- Basic understanding of contract law
- Ideally a University graduate (Law preferable)
- Dynamic and driven individual with initiative and a 'can-do' attitude.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise to work to deadlines.
- Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints.
- Good IT skills: thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Internet Explorer
- Experience of working within a commercial legal environment (either in private practice or within an in-house legal team), paralegal work and/or experience of drafting and negotiating general commercial contracts would be a distinct advantage.
