HE Widening Participation Coordinator (fixed term contract from 1 September 2017 to 31 January 2018)

Northumberland College has two main campuses at Ashington and Kirkley Hall and centres at Hexham and Berwick.

We offer hundreds of full-time and part-time courses, work with students aged 14-18, mature students, higher education students and employers from numerous industry sectors.

Northumberland College is fully committed to improving the quality of service and provision to our students and in order to achieve this we encourage continuing professional development and improvement at all levels.

North East Collaborative Outreach Programme has attracted significant funding to attract students from the following groups into Higher Education:-

1. White working class males from lower socio economic groups
2. Students with additional support needs and disabilities
3. Students from BME backgrounds

Successful candidates will hold a degree or equivalent and must have a proven track record of supporting widening participation and encouraging student progression to Higher Education. You must also have excellent communication skills and be able to analyse data and identify target groups of learners and also monitor progress against the aims of the project
