Engineering Trainee/Apprentice

Position: Engineering Trainee/Apprentice
Location: Trafford Park, Manchester
Salary: Excellent
Working Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

The Engineering Trainee/Apprentice Role:
Our client is looking to recruit craft trainees/apprentices to join an excellent team working from their busy Service Centre in Manchester. They offer a comprehensive training package in association with the local engineering colleges as well as an excellent working environment and benefits package.

Trainees/Apprentices will be taken through a structured training plan that will involve on the job training within the departments listed below covering the following criteria;

Winding: Stripping, detailing, Winding, Connecting, Testing
Machine shop: Lathe, Milling, Reclamation techniques, Balancing. Welding
Fitting: Disassembly, Root cause failure, Clearances/Fits, Bearings/seals, Assembly
Site Services: Vibration Analysis, Ultrasound, Oil Analysis, Thermography, Laser Alignment
Test (Technician): AC motors, DC motors, Pumps, Invertors, Gearboxes

The Ideal Candidate:

• Knowledge of motors and associated gearboxes, their operation and repair techniques 
• Qualification by experience or HND level
• Proven organizational skills
• Proven interpersonal skills
• Enthusiastic ability
• Understanding of modern repair techniques
