EXTRUSION OPERATIVES

DAYS (Mon – Thu 46 hours) WEEKEND DAYS (Fri – Sun 34.5 hours)

£7.50 - £8.88

Louth's largest employer is looking to increase their team of factory operatives on the extrusion line, working either days (Mon – Thu) or weekend days (Fri – Sun). After full training you will be required to produce thermoplastic compounds to an agreed specification and quality standard in the safest and most efficient manner. Accurate recording of information is equally important, as is following the company health and safety policy and reporting any safety concerns, dangerous occurrences or accidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• To operate machines in a safe manner, ensuring machines are cleaned down ready for the next job
• To account accurately for all materials being used
• To pack material safely into the required packaging, ensuring it is correctly marked
• To accurately account for material being used
• To ensure smooth hand over of information at shift changeover
• To inspect and provide samples for laboratory testing for colour and quality as necessary
• To carry out housekeeping as required ensuring areas under your control are safe, clean and tidy
• Report all spillages to the Team Leader and take agreed action as a result
• To carry out all agreed safety and maintenance checks in a timely manner

Personal Specification:

• Previous experience working in a factory environment is desirable
• A good team player
• Used to working in a busy, fast paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Punctual and reliable
• A good standard of written and oral English
