MWBI is an international Christian organisation serving the spiritual, educational, emotional and material needs of those suffering poverty or oppression. We respect the dignity of the individual to help build self-sufficiency and a sustainable future, and serve people without regard to their religion or ethnic background. We fundraise through our Affiliate organisations in 11 countries worldwide, and currently focus the delivery of our mission in Eastern Europe - especially Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania and Ukraine.
We are looking for someone to join the Board with a passion for Christian ministry, a desire to liberate people from physical and spiritual oppression, and a heart for serving the poorest people in Eastern Europe through local churches.
At the simplest level we are looking for someone to bring their wisdom to our deliberations, but ideally you will also have practical skills and experience in one or more of the following: International Development, fundraising, marketing, digital comms, HR, or IT.
This is a pivotal moment for MWBI, and the International Board wishes to increase its strength, initially with the appointment of one new trustee. A new Chief Executive will also shortly be recruited, a new strategic plan is to be developed, and there is a strong desire to take the charity's work to a whole new level.
