Our client who is a very successful maintenance services provider has appointed Staffbase to recruit for the position of Maintenance Manager to oversee night shift maintenance activities at a busy quarry in North Leicestershire.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent man management qualities and you will have a track record in managing maintenance teams of between 20-30 personnel.
We are looking for a candidate who has extensive mechanical maintenance experience in heavy industry manufacturing such as aggregates, mining, quarry, waste or recycling environment.
The Role:
Reporting to the operations manager and working closely with the client you will be responsible for the management and control of all night shift maintenance activities at a busy quarry. Duties will include but is not limited to the following:
- Ensuring all planned maintenance activities are implemented in line with PPM requirements
- Performance monitoring and KPI reporting
- HSE - deliver toolbox talks and method / risk assessments
- Engage, motivate and manage the maintenance team
- Lead from the front with 'hands on' approach as and when necessary
- Ensure safe delivery of maintenance activities
- Staff performance appraisals and disciplinary action
- Plan and maintain staff shift rotas and job scheduling
- Supervise and instruct maintenance personnel
Candidate:
You will be a maintenance manager / supervisor with extensive mechanical maintenance experience ideally with excellent knowledge of heavy plant and machinery including; crushers, vibrating screens, conveyors.
You will display excellent management and motivational skills and you will have the ability to communicate at all levels within your remit.
