We are recruiting for a newly created Events Manager role for an International Financial Services Company in the heart of Nottingham. The successful applicant will be required to assist the European Marketing Manager in implementing the International Strategic Marketing Plan. Using your knowledge of marketing tools and organisational skills, you will help co-ordinate the company marketing event activity by liaising and working closely with internal departments and external marketing agencies.

You will support the organisation in all marketing events, including proactive sourcing of venues and providing corporate hospitality. As part of the overall event management you will be required to ensure all marketing collateral including trade stands, banners, corporate brochures and presentations are up to date and in line with the corporate brand guidelines. The online presence of the business is a vital part of your role, ensuring the update of websites including social media activity.

Overall Objectives
To manage event administration and support the international and Group businesses, including online, digital and social media support in line with the agreed marketing & communications strategy, within budget and deadlines set.

Essential Skills
* A strong career within Events - including arranging of events and communications of events.
* Experience working in a similar marketing role
* Experience within the financial sector
* Strong project management, organisational and administrative skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Must be MS Office proficient including PowerPoint, Publisher and Word
* Ability to manage and prioritise multiple simultaneous projects, working to tight deadlines
* Strong interpersonal and client service skills
* Strong verbal and accurate written communication skills
* Key Responsibilities
* Assist the European Marketing Manager to implement and deliver the International Group Marketing Events Calendar
* To ensure the corporate brand, identity, integrity and image is maintained across the business in accordance with the brand guidelines
* Ensure planned marketing activities are organised and co-ordinated in line with the agreed marketing activity plan
* To participate in the development of creative ideas as part of the successful implementation of marketing initiatives
* Organise corporate events and exhibitions as directed by the European Marketing Manager
* To assist in the proof reading and signing off of policy documentation, point of sale material, presentations and on-line activity
* To produce various reports and management information for business partners
* To ensure that all expenditure is authorised and within agreed budget parameters.
* Process all payments in-line with company procedure and ensure clear reporting of spend for budgeting purposes
* To ensure that corporate policies and procedures are observed at all times

Key Task Summary
* To liaise with internal departments for the implementation of their event marketing requirements
* Coordinate Group level marketing activity across the International Group of companies, as directed by the European Marketing Manager
* Ensure all marketing collateral is produced in line with the brand guidelines and marketing plan requirements, including conducting appropriate checking procedures and sign off
* Help promote a marketing culture across the business units including the promotion of open communication on marketing initiatives.
* Understand the importance of legal and regulatory frameworks within the insurance and marketing industry

* Travel will be required to other UK office locations, on occasion and with notice, travel to our International locations will be required

Additional desirable skills
* Project management qualification - PRINCE or equivalent
* CIM Marketing qualification or equivalent

Should you have a successful career within Events and have prior experience working within a Financial Services Company - understanding Financial Services Regulations and either have your CIM or be interested in working towards your CIM - with experience working within a Marketing team, then we are very interested in hearing from you
