Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) has been named as a Capital Delivery Alliance partner to help deliver the AMP6 (and potentially AMP7) Capital Programmes for D??r Cymru Welsh Water (DCWW), and will undertake the design and construction of projects across the whole of the DCWW region. As a result, we have a fantastic opportunity for a bright candidate who would like to further their education and gain engineering experience within the water industry to join our team as a trainee BIM technician.
Typical duties and responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with others to produce accurate 3D models & development of skill within this exciting field
Producing outputs from models to be used by other disciplines (such as for structural and hydraulic analysis, setting out on site and stakeholder engagement)
Producing "preliminary", "construction" and "as built" drawings to company standards
Recording of information and providing support to design staff during surveys/site visits
You must be able to demonstrate the following;
Good GCSE or A Level Results (computing/maths and the sciences would be beneficial)
Highly motivated and willing to develop your software skills (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit)
Good computer skills
Good written & oral communication skills
Able to work on your own initiative, whilst displaying a commitment to contribute to, and learn from, the wider team
Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team and a professional, commercial environment
Willing to learn and further education to minimum of HNC level within preferred engineering discipline
Flexible, adaptable, able to ask questions if needed Good mathematical skills, numeracy and attention to detail
Previous experience desirable but not compulsory - a good attitude towards learning is more important
