Salary: £24,877 + Car Allowance £1,200 per annum
Permanent – 35 hours per week
Housingrecruit.com is advertising for a Floating Sheltered Tenancy Officer on behalf of our client, a leading social housing provider based in Leicester.
They have an exciting vacancy in their Independent Living Team working as a Floating Sheltered Tenancy Officer and they would really like to hear from you if;
You are educated to A Level standard and have good knowledge of housing law and upcoming changes;
You have experience of housing management, working in a customer facing role dealing with anti-social behaviour and conflict;
You have the ability to manage sensitive situations in a diplomatic and confidential manner to achieve positive outcomes;
You will ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to and behave in a manner that promotes our mission and core values.
The successful candidate will provide a high standard of housing management service to a geographical area of properties for Sheltered Housing customers over the age of 55. You will need to be a visible presence in the housing schemes, whilst directing customers to appropriate agencies and services for support. You will effectively deal with Anti-Social Behaviour, harassment and Domestic Violence and work in partnership with other agencies to support tenants. You will need to be able to manage the buildings; coordinating repairs ordering, undertake health and safety checks, servicing of equipment and deal with any emergency situations.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is enthusiastic and energetic with excellent communication skills, with the ability to multi task effectively to meet deadlines. Some of the sheltered housing schemes accommodate predominately Asian elders; therefore having Asian linguistic skills would be an advantage.
