Imexpart Ltd, one of the largest and most respected independent Truck & Bus Parts Specialists in the UK are seeking a Sales Office Manager / Northern UK Sales Manager.  Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be office based for 3 days per week, you will spend 2 days in the field.  There are 6 direct reports, internal and external.  Having served the automotive industry since 1986, Imex is a leading independent parts distributor, offering a genuine alternative to the franchised network.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead & develop internal and external sales staff
  • Forge stronger links between internal and after sales teams
  • Grow sales to key accounts and prospects in Northern England & Scotland (approx 15-20)
  • Develop sales into regional and independent national wholesalers (Motor Factors & specialists)
  • Present objectives & performance reviews to Line Manager
  • Arrange meaningful & timely sales meetings & team briefs
  • Conduct field workouts 
  • Maximise sales opportunities in the following areas from the Company’s existing database:
    • Dormant accounts
    • Lapsed accounts
    • Lapsing accounts
    • Existing accounts with potential to increase sales
    • New prospects
    • Implement incentive schemes that are achievable, motivational and will grow sales and profitability
  • Exploit sales opportunities throughout ALL of the Company’s product ranges
  • Meet or exceed agreed KPI’s
  • Regularly provide an accurate analysis of the business you and your teams have generated
  • Collaborate with other department heads to address key business issues and opportunities, operations, financial, marketing & procurement, etc

The ideal candidate will:

  • Know the parts aftermarket (preferably CV)
  • Be educated to at least A level standard
  • Demonstrative experience in a similar role within the automotive industry
  • Be a recognised high achiever within a fast- paced sales environment
  • Have staff management/Leadership experience
  • Have above average levels of IT, literacy and numeracy
  • Be an excellent communicator, written and verbal
