European Road Freight Manager - (Groupage/Planning) - Hinckley

Our client, a medium size forwarding company with approximately 7 branches across the UK, is seeking on recruit an experienced European Road Freight Manager, to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team and become a key figure in it's development.

Responsibilities will include:-

• Full P&L responsibility for the routes you will manage.
• Building a strong rapport with suppliers, customers and colleagues.
• Having good awareness of the European Roadfreight market and using that to maximise profits.
• Processing orders from quotation stage through to delivery.
• Managing one direct staff member in the interim.

The ideal candidate will possess:-

• Several years of experience in the European Roadfreight industry, gained whilst working for a freight forwarding company in the UK.
• Demonstrable skills in previously growing and developing a groupage market.
• An outgoing and positive attitude in the workplace.
• The desire to progress the role further and move forward with the company.
• The ability to commute to our Hinckley depot on a daily basis.

Competitive salary offered, along with an initial 20 days paid leave per annum. After one years' service private health care is available.
