Skills Provision is pleased to be tasked to recruit a Junior Sous Chef to join the team at Highclere Castle, Newbury, Berkshire. (Location for Downton Abbey). We anticipate considerable interest for such a prestigious employer who is wanting the successful candidate in place by 8 th May.

The position is open to English speaking EU citizens (proof of residency will be required).

Package

• Annual salary up to GBP23,000 dependent upon experience.
• 20 days annual leave entitlement plus lieu days where Bank Holidays are worked.
• Accommodation is available, within a shared house, at a cost of GBP200 per calendar month plus bills.

Job Description

• Ensure consistent and efficient food production.
• Adhere AT ALL TIMES to expected levels of quality and quantity with dishes appropriately garnished.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures.
• Continually monitor required standards.
• Manage food logs.
• Maintain clean working areas AT ALL TIMES.
• Assist other kitchen staff as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Have a minimum of 1 years' experience in a kitchen.
• Possess relevant qualifications.
• Be passionate about food and service.
• Maintain a clean work environment, adhering to workplace guidelines.
• A willingness to learn.
• English speaking.
