Pharmaceutical Press (PhP), the publications division of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS), publishes a wide range of titles in the fields of pharmaceutical science and drug therapy, including world renowned references such as the BNF, Martindale, and Stockley's Drug Interactions.
Three excellent opportunities have arisen to join the editorial team. You will be involved in many facets of the editorial operation, including supporting our content output through production tasks which will involve data collection, publication testing, proof-reading, and quality assurance. Technical Writers specifically will also contribute to the creation of content for PhP products. These are outstanding opportunities to gain entry level experience of online and print publishing.
To be considered you should have a qualification in physical or life sciences, information science, or other relevant discipline. The roles require excellent IT skills and experience in searching scientific databases, a meticulous eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team and meet tight deadlines. These roles may appeal particularly to pharmacy technicians and new science graduates.
You'll find a career with the RPS to be challenging and interesting! We take the development of our staff seriously and we welcome ambitious applicants with an appetite to learn.
These roles are office based and applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
To apply, please send your CV, a cover letter, and a short piece of writing (400 words max) on the following: "How would you describe the challenges facing publishing at the moment, including the impact of the digital era?" by clicking on the 'Apply' button.
