SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

To GBP45,000 basic + Pension
This UK leader in the design and manufacture of industrial machinery for a variety of worldwide international markets has an opportunity for a senior design engineer within its dedicated design team. Working as an integral member of the design team you will want to test yourself in all aspects of whole vehicle and affiliated machinery design. Role & Responsibilities
*Produce detailed Design and Manufacturing drawings for the Production team
*Involved in concept design of new products
Lead the detail design of individual projects and work as a member of the components team on a wide range of projects.
*Work closely with manufacturing on product and manufacturing improvement.
*Oversee and control new product development through design, prototype to manufacturing.
*Work with Internal Sales team to produce parts lists and BOM's.
Work with development team to complete product test procedures.
To provide clear, accurate communication and administration to support customer demands.
Required Skills & Experience
*HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering
*Experience on 3D CAD ideally Inventor
*Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis
*Worked in a manufacturing company dealing with Production
*Motivated to work in a small dedicated team where your technical expertise is valued and every project is bespoke
*Liaise closely with Sales, able to demonstrate good communication skills
*Knowledge of hydraulics systems and vehicle design advantageous
