This is a full-time, fixed term position for 18 months
Oxford Brookes Students' Union is looking for a Head of Operations who can both manage and develop a number of student-facing services, including the support we give to student-led activities, societies and our academic representatives.
If you have experience of working in a management role in a service delivery organisation and would relish working in a dynamic organisation of constant change and renewal,
this may be the role for you. You will be a key member of staff translating strategic objectives into operational plans and delivering services directly to students.
You will be:
managing the Union's academic representation system, in support of the Vice President: Academic Representation
managing relationships with a range of key stakeholders within the University, ensuring their continued support for the system
managing all aspects of the support the Union gives to student societies and student-led activities, supporting the Vice President: Society Development
overseeing the development of the Union's facilities.
You should have:
an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification
demonstrable experience of working in a management role within a service delivery organisation
experience of managing budgets and of operational planning and implementation
experience of managing teams
effective skills in delegation, communication, time management and decision making.
International applicants from outside the EU will need to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK.
