Job Description - Project Manager (Electrical / Multi Utility)
We are recruiting for a client who is looking to hire a Project Manager who has experience with domestic, industrial and commercial new electrical contestable connection projects in the construction industry.
- The projects will range from 11KV - 33KV but most the connection project management work will surround 11KV projects.
- The role purpose is to optimise performance through effective management of projects from allocation to completion.
- The Project Manager will ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures. The electrical project manager will liaise with colleagues across the business and the DNO's to ensure the effective completion of tasks.
- This is an urgent requirement for a Multi Utility/ Electrical Project Manager to join a utility organisation in the managing and delivery of Electrical & Multi utility construction programs.
- Manage multiple and/or major construction projects safely, competently, and effectively to time and budget.
Person Specification: Project Manager (Electrical/ Multi-Utility)
We are looking for a motivated Construction Project Manager who works extremely well under pressure, meets strict deadlines without sacrificing high performance standards. The ideal Project Manager will inspire strong feelings of commitment and dedication, encourage initiative and increase the overall strength and efficiency of his/her position.
- Demonstrable experience in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in managing large/multiple project in the construction or electricity industries.
- Knowledge of CDM regulations.
- Project manage new IDNO HV and LV networks including new substations.
- Excellent project management skills and very good people management skills.
- Sound knowledge of Health and Safety.
- Work alongside other members of the management team to ensure the effective delivery of targets.
- Carry out safety audits, ensuring compliance with Policies and Procedures and promote Best Practice.
- Ensure that work carried out is in accordance with Service Level Agreements whilst operating within the appropriate Safety Management and Environmental Management Systems.
- Overall responsibility to deliver quality projects on time and in budget.
