Outreach Worker: Macmillan Cancer Carers Adult Services

Harrow Carers is a registered charity established in 1996 which supports unpaid carers in Harrow, Middlesex. It is the main organisation in Harrow for carers, providing a wide range of support through services and projects. We are affiliated to Carers Trust and Carers UK.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with initiative and compassion to provide an outreach service to Cancer Carers .The work will involve providing information, advice and support around benefits and grant entitlements and signposting to services provided by the CCG, Harrow Council and other organisations. Ongoing evaluation of the service provided will be required to ensure exceptional levels of support are delivered at all times and the service meets Macmillan requirements. This is a very rewarding and valuable post which can make a positive difference to people’s lives.

Applicants will have a strong record of working within the field of benefits advice and researching grants. Experience of working with vulnerable groups either within voluntary, charitable, or community services is an advantage.

You will be accountable to and supervised by the Adult Services Manager.
