Senior Oracle DBA

At CDL we are currently looking for an intermediate Senior Oracle DBA to come and join our team based in Stockport. You will receive a salary of up to £45,000 per annum.

About the Senior Oracle DBA role

If you eat, sleep and breathe databases…or you are just incredibly good at looking after them, then this is the role for you! Monitoring and supporting test and live databases, you will provide guidance to customers and colleagues, trouble-shooting any issues and identifying areas for improvement.

Automation is a key part of what we do; you will automate processes using Terraform. You will initially providing production and development support for Oracle Databases, the role will be expanding to cover MS-SQL databases in the near future, so we are looking for a fantastic all-rounder who is as confident advising the development teams on maximising investment in database technologies as they are working on auditing, archiving, backup and recovery issues.

What we’re looking for in our Senior Oracle DBA

This wide-reaching role brings a world of opportunity, so to knock our socks off you will need at least four years of Oracle DBA experience working in a Linux/Unix-based production or development environment.

Ideally a qualified Oracle Database Certified Professional (11g/12c), and we would be extra impressed if you had experience of some of the following: Oracle Enterprise Manager, RAC/RAC1, Oracle Dataguard/DB Visit, NetApp SMO and Microsoft SQL Server.

Demonstrable experience with Amazon Web Services is desirable, all we ask is an attitude to learn new technologies, and we will fully support you with training to do so.
