ICT Service Manager - Customer Solutions

Brighton & Hove City Council is recruiting to a number of IT and digital roles. The Council is well into a multi-year programme of organisational modernisation, including renewal of core IT platforms and infrastructure, digital innovation and many business change programmes and projects in which IT is a key partner. We are also establishing close ties with East Sussex County Council and Surrey County Council through the Orbis partnership, which provides professional and technical support services for its partner organisations. This is an exciting time to join our team. We are an ambitious and forward looking IT department with skills in a range of enterprise technologies and digital delivery practices. Working in a fast paced environment, in the heart of the City and close to the seafront, these roles offer great opportunity for gaining substantial professional and technical experience. The role is a newly created management position offering an exciting opportunity to lead a diverse team working towards enhancing the customer experience. You will be leading a team currently responsible for Installation: hardware, software, peripherals and 2nd line technical support responsible for: BAU, telephony, mobile telephony, email, O365 products and supporting Members and VIPs. You will have experience of working in a large organisation which is constantly changing and assist with delivering new services, whilst providing excellent customer service and effectively managing and developing the team.
