Ensuring the sustainability of Wales’s natural resources and environment requires world class leadership. When natural resources and our ecosystems flourish, society and the economy thrive as well. They can help reduce flooding, improve the air we breathe, supply materials for construction, provide a home for wildlife, provide us with iconic landscapes to enjoy, and boost our economy and the health and well-being of the Nation.

Within this context, Natural Resources Wales is breaking new ground. Established in 2013 by the Welsh Government, this pan-Wales organisation of 1750 people and a budget of £185m is the first of its kind in the world to bring together the tools needed to manage, maintain, enhance and sustain our natural resources.

As the Chief Executive, you will lead the organisation through its next phase of transformation. You will inspire and motivate a skilled and passionate workforce to achieve completely new ways of working. You will also develop and implement strategy, and work across a diverse stakeholder network where engagement and collaboration will be essential.

Er mwyn sicrhau cynaliadwyedd adnoddau naturiol ac amgylchedd Cymru, rhaid cael arweinyddiaeth o’r radd flaenaf. Pan fydd adnoddau naturiol a’n hecosystemau’n ffynnu, fe fydd y gymdeithas a’r economi’n ffynnu hefyd. Gallant helpu i leihau llifogydd, gwella’r aer a anadlwn, cyflenwi deunyddiau ar gyfer adeiladu, darparu cartrefi i fywyd gwyllt, rhoi tirweddau trawiadol i ni eu mwynhau, a hybu’r economi ac iechyd a llesiant y Genedl.

Yn y cyd-destun hwn, mae Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru yn torri tir newydd. Sefydlwyd y corff yn 2013 gan Lywodraeth Cymru. Y sefydliad Cymru gyfan hwn, a chanddo 1750 o bobl a chyllideb o £185m, yw’r cyntaf o’i fath drwy’r byd i ddwyn ynghyd yr offer sy’n angenrheidiol i reoli, cadw, cyfoethogi a chynnal ein hadnoddau naturiol.
