Maritime Assistant-Temporary Role Until September 2017

We require two temporary members of staff to cover the slipway in Penzance Harbour. We are looking for the successful maritime candidates to start asap and the role will last until the end of September 2017 Such duties will involve those associated with a harbour and or Pier authority and will involve working afloat amd ashore dealing with conservancy ( Enforcing byelaws) marking of navigable channels and taking slipway fees, dealing with mooring, operation of wet dock gates and tidal working to name but a few duties. The successful Maritime Assistant will also be required to undertake other Maritime Assistant duties around the harbour. You will be required to work on a rota basis cover weekdays and alternate weekends. 10am to 3pm, 3pm to 8pm Monday to Friday and 12pm to 7pm Saturday & Sunday.
