Courier Driver with own vehicle

This position is suitable for any mature, experienced, owner driver who is self- employed and in good health. The vehicle should be a 4-metre sprinter or equivalent, no less than 3 years old. They should also live within a 30-minute radius of East Midlands Airport. The candidate should have no criminal record due to C.R.B. check, as well as be able to provide job references for the last 5 years as these are both required for a security pass.

The ideal candidate should have a good working knowledge of the road network country wide. The candidate should also be able to work under their own initiative when dealing with problems with road diversions etc. They should also be able to work to time restrictions on deliveries and collections, communicating any problems to management.

The position requires someone who is hands on and able to load their vehicle with various amounts of freight. This position also requires someone who is flexible as it has early starts, sometimes staying out all day, with some late finishes throughout the week. There is also possibility of weekend requirements.
