Our water consultancy business provides a diverse range of hydraulic modelling and flood risk management services to clients around the world. Demand for these services continues to grow, and in response to this we are keen to engage a talented hydraulic modeller to strengthen our team of technical specialists. This position can be offered on a full-time or a part-time basis.
You will work closely with our existing teams of hydrologists, hydraulic and water quality modellers, mathematicians and engineers to deliver modelling assignments to a range of clients, with particular emphasis on coastal hydrodynamic modelling and water quality modelling. You will apply science and engineering principles to improve the natural environment, and provide a systems approach to the analysis of environmental problems and quantitative analysis.
Candidate profile:
Relevant academic qualifications (e.g. mathematics, civil engineering, hydrology/hydraulics or other related disciplines)
Keen interest in flood risk management and related environmental areas
Experience of fluvial and/or coastal hydraulic modelling
Understanding of GIS
Experience of software packages such as ISIS, TUFLOW, FEH
Desirable that you have experience in other software, including MIKE, Delft 3D, TELEMEC, CORMIX, NAM, PDM, PRTF
