Principal Teachers currently has a vacancy for a Year 2 Teacher to commence a full time position in a Ripon primary school. The Head Teacher has approached PT to assist in the school's search for a committed KS1 specialist teacher to join the school from September on a long term, on going basis. The successful applicant will need to be an enthusiastic and creative professional, who can motivate learners of all ability levels to reach their full potential. You will need to show your commitment to improving attainment for all and be able to deliver an engaging and enriching KS1 curriculum to allow all learners to flourish. Experience of delivering Year 2 SATs would be beneficial.
Based in the Ripon area, the school serves a diverse catchment area and is well respected within the local community. You will become part of a thriving and experienced KS1 team, which is well resourced. The Head Teacher wishes to appoint a dedicated professional, who will create experiential learning opportunities for Year 2 children and drive results forward in Upper KS1. The school has high expectations for behaviour and attainment and you will need to adopt the same ethos in order to sustain high standards.
The successful applicant will have:
-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
-Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
-Previous experience of teaching in the UK
-Knowledge of the current Primary National Curriculum requirements for KS1
-Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
-The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
-Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
-A commitment to improving attainment for all students
-A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
