Our Community Fundraiser and Volunteer Coordinator is leaving us to pursue a career in teaching, which means we have a vacancy for someone with fundraising and/or volunteer coordination experience or someone keen to develop a career in this area, who possesses exceptional potential in this area of work.

This full-time position is an opportunity to work in a small, friendly and professional team which manages fundraising, communications and volunteer recruitment.

Requirements for this role:

Sound knowledge of the Oxfordshire region
Full driving licence and willingness to drive own vehicle for business purposes
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage time
The ability to present to and engage with a very wide range of audiences
To build and maintain excellent supporter and volunteer relationships
Willingness to attend events and talks on evenings and weekends (time off in lieu given)
Competence with - or a fast ability to learn - charity CMS (contact management systems)
Knowledge of Microsoft packages including word, excel, PowerPoint

Job Description

Overview of the role and responsibilities:

The Style Acre Fundraiser and Volunteer Coordinator will be pivotal in engaging with local communities to optimise fundraising, volunteer and awareness raising opportunities. The post holder will be responsible for volunteer recruitment across the charity. The role has an agreed fundraising and volunteer recruitment target.

Specific Responsibilities:

Work towards 2017-18 income target of GBP25k gross through community fundraising, based on 3 days per week, working within existing expenditure budget
Engage and develop community relationships with organisations, clubs, churches, schools, festivals, groups for Charity of the Year and fundraising opportunities
Manage our annual Santa Dash and seek other community engaged fundraising opportunities (eg- colour dye run)
Maintain our diary of community fundraising events and develop new events and activities with good fundraising (cost:income) efficiency
Market events and activities in relevant media/social media/our website/mailchimp email notifications, Style Acre newsletters
Assist with major events organisation
Recruit volunteers to support our social enterprises, day services, supported living, IT, fundraising and administration as needed
Act as point of contact during volunteer recruitment stage, providing excellent stewardship Organise a number of volunteer meetings/events each year
Manage and develop corporate volunteer days
Report monthly on volunteer numbers and translate into cost saving
Speak on behalf of the charity at awareness raising events
Support community engagement activities with day services and other bodies, such as our annual Access All Areas
Enter relevant data and volunteer details onto Donorfy (our CRM)
Assist Head of Fundraising, Marketing and Community Development as appropriate
Keep up to date with developments in fundraising and charity sector trends - especially privacy and data protection policy
Act at all times in a manner which will enhance the organisation's reputation
