JOB TITLE: IT Support Technician

WORKING HOURS: Full time -39.75 per week
Our client has long been recognised as one of the UK's market leader for electronic manufacturing services (EMS) and is one of the largest with a wholly owned offshore manufacturing facility. Their IT systems are crucial to the slick manufacturing operation they run across the three sites, which is why they have a dedicated team in place to continually develop, monitor and manage them in order to keep them, and their customers moving forwards.
Our client is seeking a capable IT Support Technician to be based in Kempston, Bedford. Reporting directly to the IT Director you will work alongside our customers and internal teams to create, implement, develop, train and support applications / processes, using the groups preferred software.
You will undertake the development and management of key business support processes such as Servers, Networks, Personal Computers, Printers, Databases and Information Management Systems.

You will be required to work alongside our customers and internal teams to create, implement, develop, train and support applications / processes, using the groups preferred software.
You will undertake the development and management of key business support processes such as Servers, Networks, Personal Computers, Printers, Databases and Information Management Systems.
The successful candidate will have previous experience within an IT supporting position and hold a relevant technical qualification. You will have a demonstrable attention to detail with a strong 'right first every time' attitude and have excellent communication skills.
Key experience essential for the role- IT Support Technician - Bedford
Relevant technical qualification required (Microsoft Certification or an IT qualification to Level 3).
Knowledge and experience on Servers (Windows 2008 / 2012 including Terminal Server) / LAN / WAN infrastructure technology and off the shelf packages (MS Office 2016 for example) including the installing of, maintaining and troubleshooting.
Experience in an IT Supporting role (front line)
Excellent internal and external customer service and communication skills.
Proactive, self-motivated and a good team player.
With demonstrable attention to detail and a strong 'right first time and every time' ethos (articulate and methodical).
Excellent organisational skills.
Flexible and adaptable showing a patient and helpful demeanour.
Good command of the English language - both written and oral.
