Our client, a Top 10 firm, are currently seeking a Personal Tax Assistant Manager to join their highly successful Personal Tax Compliance Department located in Northampton. The Role

You will become a valued part of the firm's Personal Tax Compliance Department, which specialises in advising client's on how to minimise their tax liability and to ensure they are complying with their tax obligations. You will be assisting in the management of a team who are highly are skilled in keeping clients up-to-date on developments and advising on how changes and developments in tax legislation might affect them.

Responsibilities will include;

- Using leadership skills to provide support to managers in managing a team responsible for producing tax returns to agreed service standards and acting as a role model within the team, coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.
- Reviewing and supervising and providing intelligent and creative solutions to client tax issues both proactively and reactively.
- Developing an internal network and building a detailed understanding of client expectations delivering excellent client service within the team.
- Demonstrating a strong understanding of the full range of the firm's services to identify new Tax Planning/Advisory opportunities and cross-selling accordingly.

The Candidate

- ATT qualified and, preferably, studying towards CTA qualification, or equivalent.
- Technically strong, with the ability to process complex tax returns and supervise the processing of tax returns.
- Experience mentoring and supervising more junior colleagues.
- An understanding of how to embrace new business opportunities and grow the business.
- A genuine interest in providing the best service to the firm's clients
- Able to seize opportunities as they arise, adapt quickly and wisely to changing conditions and optimise growth for clients and firms
- Able to think critically and bring clarity and insight.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence in communicating with colleagues, clients and HMR&C
