To provide technical support of the Windows Server and Storage teams. The role will deliver Production support and project delivery within the IT Operations group ensuring that Production Stability and ongoing maintenance of the core systems. The Key areas of the role is to ensure the End User Computing stacks are well maintained and running with a 5 9's availability.

* Have strong technical expertise in deploying supported technologies with a focus on Appsense, SCCM, AppV, Citrix and MacAfee EPO and various extensions like DLP, EEPC, HIPS.
* Knowledge of the Microsoft System Center suites (mainly SCOM and Orchestrator) and VMware ESXi 5.1 through to 6 from a day to day support prospective.
* Willing to learn and support technologies/solution outside of your core area of responsibility to support day to day BAU for the Server and Storage area.
* Focus on BAU support ensuring the ticket queue remains low and manageable, working with surrounding support teams and direct senior engineers to resolve the issues as quickly as possible.
* Maintain high system availability - ensuring Problem, Change, and Incident Management disciplines are strictly adhered to and working with service delivery where appropriate.
* Eliminate manual activities through automation of existing Infrastructure process and driving down resource exhaustion of repeatable tasks.
* Ensure that solutions are built to be cost-effective, fault tolerant, flexible, and scalable to support our development, test and production environment.
* Ensure that operational standards and documentation is in place and adhered to for all key components and processes within the IT Infrastructure.
* Ensure that monitoring, asset inventory and capacity management are managed to a degree that allows for proactive monitoring and management of the infrastructure.
* Develop processes and procedure to ensure security and Audit compliance is met and monitor to ensure that processes are adhered to
* Working with the Server and Storage Manager/Architecture to create and maintain roadmaps for all key elements of the solutions within your area.
* Proactively liaise with, and manage 3rd party vendors to maintain technical knowledge, understand roadmaps, ensure maximum system availability and provide effective maintenance and procurement services.
* Provide On call support in a rotation with the rest of the team and willing to work on weekend, evening during critical go lives, patching cycles and upgrades.


Education/experience:

5+ working within the infrastructure operation area focusing on End User Computing / 3rd line support function.
