Northumberland College has two main campuses at Ashington and Kirkley Hall and centres at Hexham and Berwick.

We offer hundreds of full-time and part-time courses, work with students aged 14-18, mature students, higher education students and employers from numerous industry sectors.

We are seeking to employ an Instructor to work with existing qualified staff to deliver the practical elements across a range of programmes, including

  • Level 1 Diploma in Land Based Studies
  • Level 2 Diploma in Animal Care
  • Level 3 Qualifications in Animal Management
  • HE in Applied Animal Management

The Kirkley Hall Campus offers a wide range of facilities to support the delivery of Animal related qualifications, this includes:

  • Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens, a fully licenced Zoo that includes over 300 species
  • An equestrian centre with indoor and outdoor riding arenas and specialist facilities
  • The 190 acre Kirkley Hall estate, farm, walled garden and on site veterinary centre

The successful applicant will have extensive and relevant vocational experience in Animal Management as well as have successful teaching experience within an FE Environment.

You will preferably hold a Certificate in Education, PGCE or equivalent (or working towards this) with and preferably a degree in a relevant subject area
