We are looking for a Datacentre Services Manager with exceptional communication skills, who will be responsible for managing the day to day Datacentre activities.

You will be accountable for the hardware and services that run within this environment, therefore ensuring that any technical matters are resolved promptly. You will be required to work closely with our Hosted Services Manager, so teamwork and outstanding interpersonal skills are essential. Managing our customer expectations and providing robust technical solutions, will ensure our customers are given the level of service expected of a reputable 40 year business.

  • Vendor relationship management
  • Budgetary control
  • Spend justification
  • Licence management
  • Audit responsibility
  • Best practice process management
  • Overall responsibility for service uptime
  • Out of hours management escalation
  • Security / patching policy management
  • Planning of moves, changes, hardware refresh and expansion
  • Coordination of installation / adoption of new services
  • Development of procedures and processes in conjunction with the Hosted Services Manager.
  • Responsibility for the maintenance / development of our business continuity plan

What you should expect…

The position is a hands-on technical management role, whereby you will be the go to person and proactively react to any potential customer downtime.

Whilst we will provide you with full training on our systems and processes, you will be an experienced technical IT Manager who is both familiar with, and enjoys a busy and varied environment, where two days are never the same.
