The Education Workforce Council is the statutory, self-regulating professional body for members of the education workforce in Wales.  It seeks to raise the status of workers in education and training by maintaining and promoting the highest standards of professional practice and conduct in the interests of registrants, learners and the general public.

Key Tasks:

The Administrative Officer, working as part of a team under the direction of the Qualifications and Registration Manager will:

  • Play a key role in delivering the Council’s registration work, including the maintenance of the Register of Education Practitioners , the registration of education practitioners via the collection of annual registration fees as well as the registration of new applicants throughout the year;
  • Play a role in determining the suitability of applicants for registration with the Council annually;
  • Gather and incorporate data from practitioners, employers and others in Wales onto the  Register of Education Practitioners database on an ongoing basis;
  • Provide a professional enquiry service and help desk facility for practitioners and employers concerning registration and qualifications matters; and act as the main liaison contact with practitioners, schools, LAs, FE Institutions, Initial Teacher Training institutions and other external organisations in respect of registration and qualification related issues;
  • Undertake any other duties as directed by the Deputy Chief Executive or the Qualifications and Registration Manager, commensurate with the post.

Bydd y Swyddog Gweinyddol, drwy weithio fel rhan o dîm dan gyfarwyddyd y Rheolwr Cymwysterau a Chofrestru yn:

  • Chwarae rôl allweddol wrth ddarparu gwaith cofrestru'r Cyngor, gan gynnwys cynnal a diweddaru'r Gofrestr Ymarferwyr Addysg, cofrestru ymarferwyr addysg drwy gasglu ffioedd cofrestru blynyddol ynghyd â chofrestru ymgeiswyr newydd drwy gydol y flwyddyn;
  • chwarae rôl wrth benderfynu ar briodoldeb ceiswyr ar gyfer cofrestru â'r Cyngor yn flynyddol;
  • casglu a chorffori data gan ymarferwyr, cyflogwyr ac eraill yng Nghymru ar gronfa ddata'r Gofrestr Ymarferwyr Addysg yn gyson;
  • Darparu gwasanaeth ymholiadau proffesiynol a chyfleuster desg gymorth ar gyfer ymarferwyr a chyflogwyr ynghylch materion cofrestru a chymwysterau; a bod yn brif bwynt cyswllt ar gyfer ymarferwyr, ysgolion, awdurdodau lleol, sefydliadau AB, Hyfforddiant Cychwynnol Athrawon a sefydliadau allanol eraill parthed materion cofrestru a chymwysterau;
  • Ymgymryd ag unrhyw ddyletswyddau eraill yn ôl cyfarwyddyd y Dirprwy Brif Weithredwr neu'r Rheolwr Cymwysterau a Chofrestru, yn unol â gofynion y swydd.
