Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit a Site Operative to join the team in Horsham, working 37.5 hours a week.

What will I be responsible for?

The Site Operative will assist in the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the Horsham together with assistance to general public visiting the site. Duties include:

• Assist in the day to day operations of the respective sites
• Segregation of waste to maximise the amounts that can be recycled
• To assist members of the public and other site users to deposit and segregate their waste
• Direct traffic to provide safe and efficient use of the centre
• To educate site users in the safe and effective use of the civic amenity site
• To perform basic maintenance and housekeeping duties to site equipment and facilities

The ideal Site Operative will have:?

• General knowledge of waste recycling.
• Basic knowledge of construction works and site maintenance e.g. minor repairs to sites.
• Understanding of the methods and reasons for segregating waste for recycling
