Longstanding digital agency based in Northampton is seeking an experienced SEO specialist to augment its growing team of digital marketing professionals. The company achieves some of the best results anywhere and so has much to offer to aspiring SEOs looking to increase their knowledge and skills and to progress their careers.

Clients span a very diverse range of sectors and include sector-leading ecommerce websites.

You will be an experienced search engine optimisation practitioner with at least 2 years' full time experience (ideally in an agency environment), working on improving rankings and conversion potential for multiple websites across multiple sectors and to both B2C and B2B markets. Fully au fait with Google Analytics (qualifications ideal but not required) and other key industry tools, you will have a high level of practical knowledge and expertise in all aspects of SEO. This includes both on-site and off-site, so you will be able to hit the ground running and propose, prioritise and implement work and make on-going contributions to both existing and new campaigns.

You will have some technical and structural awareness and understand the impacts of website structural issues on ranking potential. You will also have an awareness of the large number of factors playing a role in Google's algorithm but ideally be able to prioritise them in order of importance to maximise outcomes for clients. You will know how to conduct keyword and competitor research, how to establish a search phrase list, have some understanding of UI and UX and the importance of landing pages and the factors involved in improving conversion rates (CRO).

Working daily with a team of web designers, developers, programmers and digital marketing account managers, staff and contractors, you will be a key advisor and one of the go-to SEO specialists in the team. You will be able to work well as part of a team, and be able to converse well with clients, whilst also being a dedicated hard worker committed to driving client results forward.

You will enjoy understanding and discussing the nature of search algorithms, keeping up to date with this ever-evolving field, and contributing to the company's knowledge moving forward. Well organised, methodical and professional, you know how to get the work done and thrive on achieving good, sustainable results. Good written and verbal English communication skills are needed including spelling and grammar.

This is an important full-time position with excellent prospects and career progression opportunities.

Knowledge and experience of PPC, Google Shopping, Adwords and other forms of online marketing will be a bonus but not essential for the role.

Salary according to skills, knowledge and experience, but £25K to £35K anticipated, although negotiable.
