Spencer Edwards is currently retained to recruit a crucial role for an up and coming compliance business in Yorkshire as they approach their next stage in growth and development.

* Fast growing successful business recruiting due to team expansion plans and continued success in their specialist market
* Yorkshire based with an easily accessible office space
*An opportunity for the right personality to make a mark in this business as they mould this newly created role and promote a positive compliance culture throughout the business
*Reporting to the board supporting the maintenance and execution of an effective compliance and governance framework
*Partnering internal business functions, providing advice and recommendations, developing governance, compliance and risk awareness and training across the business
*Preparing reports, letters, policies and procedures

Job Requirements:

*A motivated individual with commerciality and strong business acumen
*Operational and/or people management skills, a strong team player
*In depth knowledge of FCA and Conduct Risk
*Previous experience in Compliance within the financial services industry
*A Strong knowledge of Consumer Credit regulation/CONC would be a distinct advantage
*Excellent attention to detail
*Strong IT skills

This role would suit someone based in West Yorkshire looking to commute from Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Skipton or Huddersfield areas.
